Lorraine Staunch on Living Beings
I knew at a very early age that creating art in all its forms was for me. A Graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, Florida I have been a professional working artist since 1980 and loving every second of it.
The human and the animal form has always intrigued me. Paintings need to say something important and speak to our soul.
Being a Gemini, I live in the space of duality. I love making people’s visual dreams come to life on canvas. I am a chameleon. I can switch style, approaches, and intensity according to the project I am working on. That is why I thrive executing commission pieces just for you.
You can see my public works around Fairport and Rochester in many office buildings, restaurants, and public spaces. One of my specialties is painting oversized caricatures of local musicians, local construction workers and popular figures in our lovely city. What’s Good and Twin Sisters carry my glass cutting boards and some selected pieces of Art.
I am passionate about conveying important information and speaking out on important topics such as, Cancer, domestic violence, the 5 stages of grief, Spirituality, The 19th Amendment, and so much more. I’ve been so lucky to be able to put my talent to work helping with fundraisers and doing good in the world.
